TODAY’S MARKET SNAPSHOT:
Today Nifty opened higher and continued upward momentum throughout the trading session. As already predicted, the nifty closed the monthly expiry below 15800. IT, Service Sector & private banks witnessed buying interest while selling was visible in PSU banks, Energy and media stocks.
Tomorrow the nifty is expected to continue its upward movement but may face stiff resistance near 15850 levels. If nifty spot holds 15850 for half an hour, go long on nifty futures for a possible target of 16000 in next 2-3 trading sessions. On the downside, if nifty breaks 15700 levels, then initiate short positions for a possible target of 15400 in next 3-4 sessions. Overall nifty looks mildly positive on daily charts.

- Bank Nifty:
Bank nifty opened higher today and continued its upward journey throughout the trading session. Private Banks witnessed buying while as PSU banks witnessed selling pressure in today’s trading session.
Tomorrow the bank nifty is expected to go in the southward direction. If bank nifty breaks 34500 tomorrow remains below it for 15 minutes, initiate short positions on bank nifty futures for a possible target of 34100. On the upside, if bank nifty holds 34950, then initiate long positions for a possible target of 35400 in next 2-3 sessions. Overall bank nifty looks negative on daily charts.

As per today’s option chain data, strong resistance for nifty exists at 16000 level while as strong support exists at 15700 level. The highest call writing was done at 16100 level followed by 16200 and 16000 level while as highest put writing was done at 15700 followed by 15600 and 15500 levels.

As per today’s option chain data, Strong support for bank nifty exists at 34500 while as strong resistance exists at 35000 level. No significant writing done on both call and put options.
